-->
Awakening the Radiance of the Divine Feminine
Using Principles of Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine
Wednesday, October 16th
5:30-7pm Greenstar

 Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine teach that everyone has a unique “personal constitution” characterized by specific physical and mental traits. We can experience greater ease in our lives by working with our constitution while living in harmony with the greater rhythms of daily, monthly, yearly, and life cycles.
    In this class we’ll discuss ways of understanding and balancing the changes that happen during the stages of a woman’s life, including puberty, menstruation, fertility, pregnancy, menopause, and aging gracefully.
    Learn practical tips to move more smoothly through life’s transitions using rejuvenation techniques, such as healthy food, herbal tonics, acupuncture, and meditation.
    By working with some of the fundamental principles of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, we can deepen our self-awareness, strengthen our intuition, and harness our inner radiance to become more empowered healers of our bodies and the world.

Entering the Heart of the Patient: Pulse, Tongue, and Face Diagnosis

Greenstar, Ithaca NY
April 24, 2013, 5:30-7pm

In this class, licensed acupuncturist Amanda Lewis will discuss the basic theory and techniques of clinical examination used in both Traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. In both of these ancient, time-tested healing traditions, (1) pulse diagnosis as well as (2) tongue and (3) face examination are the primary methods used to assess a patient’s current state of health. The pulse, tongue, and face communicate vital information about the organs, channels, and health of the entire body and mind. This class will cover the essential points of these techniques, which you can use to improve your own health.

Amanda Lewis, a licensed acupuncturist and certified Chinese herbal medicine practitioner, currently sees patients in Ithaca, Binghamton, and Bainbridge, NY.
